Nominate outstanding landscapes for award by May 31

FALLBROOK- Most great gardeners agree that a beautiful landscape enriches the quality of life. An abundant number of people in Fallbrook are devoted to making their property a source of pride not only for themselves but for everyone. Whether it’s a residential home, a commercial property, or public building, there are beautifully landscaped and maintained places that enrich our community. As a way of saying thank you, the Fallbrook Beautification Alliance (F.B.A.) has created a “Beautiful Landscape Award” program to recognize the efforts of those who help make Fallbrook beautiful.

Award categories will include:

*Residential: The overall appearance of the visible street-front property.

*Multi-Family Development: The overall appearance of the visible street-front common grounds of the apartments, condos, and residential developments.

*Commercial: The overall appearance of visible street front grounds at a mini-mall, restaurant, gas station, or other retail/manufacturing business.

*Non-Profit Agencies: The overall appearance of visible street front grounds at a school, church, museum, park, or other non-profit agency.

Winners will receive a certificate acknowledging their beautiful property, a recognition sign to be placed on their property for 60 days, and other honors.

Nomination forms for these awards are available at Grangettos, Myrtle Creek Nursery and Santa Margarita Growers, or be downloaded from http://www.fallbrookbeautification.org (click on “Beautiful Landscape Award”). Send nomination forms to Anne Ondraka, Fallbrook Beautification Alliance, P.O. Box 434, Fallbrook, CA 92088.

To be eligible projects must be located in the Fallbrook (92028) area and visually or physically accessible to the general public. Properties may be nominated for the annual award as often as warranted, but cannot be selected winners within two years of the last win. No member of the FBA executive board, advisory board, or panel of judges will be eligible to receive an award. Winners will be announced in June.
