Fallbrook/Bonsall Girl Scouts got together recently to celebrate their successful cookie sale this year. They honored the girls who sold more than 500 boxes each. Over 20 troops earned $24,000 for the local scouts.
Operation Thin Mint is a program through San Diego-Imperial Council Girl Scouts that collects the cost of a box of cookies and then sends the boxes overseas to the military troops.
Through this program, Fallbrook contributed 2,567 boxes to the soldiers abroad. They would like to thank the community for their continuing support of Girl Scouts.
Their next event is Outdoor Fun Day at Live Oak Park on Sunday, June 21. Anyone interested in Girl Scouts is welcome to join them.
