New personal chef service blossoms in Fallbrook

FALLBROOK — Carollyn Reiman and Michael Cone, owners of Organic Planet Farms, provided their Community Sponsored Agriculture (CSA) members fresh organic vegetables, fruits, herbs and recipes from 1997 to 2003 and even published a recipe book and diet book.

Now their extensive knowledge of nutritious foods and love of cooking has led them to become personal chefs.

They offer a diverse menu to select from, shop for the customer’s groceries, come to the individual’s home, prepare the meals in their kitchen, package each meal, label them, store them and clean up.

The customer pays for the groceries and the chefs’ time. All the customer has to do is heat and eat the wholesome, delicious, home-cooked meals in the comfort of their own home!

Personal chef services are increasing in popularity because most people are busy but still want healthy, high-quality food. Unfortunately, many resort to fast foods, eating in expensive restaurants or reheating flavorless pre-packaged food in the microwave.

Professionals, two-worker families, parents busy all day with children, retired folks, people who don’t have cooking skills, couples needing help with healthful eating habits and those facing health challenges can benefit from this service.

“It is also great for anyone needing a break or wanting to spend time at other pursuits,” said Cone. “It’s a great gift, too!”
