Nakamoto, Sellers give spirit to JV softball

FALLBROOK — Sarah Nakamoto and Shelby Sellers are two members of the Fallbrook Warrior junior varsity softball team who are victorious beyond the field.

These two extremely spirited players keep a positive attitude no matter the situation. They share in their drive to make the team function as a unit and lack nothing when it comes to humoring their teammates and coaches.

Sarah “Pee Wee” Nakamoto is a sophomore, playing her first season as a Lady Warrior. She is a strong second baseman and outfielder and has shown she can make things happen when she is on the field. She is quick and agile when running the bases and never gives up at the plate. Her teammates respect Sarah’s ambition and know they can count on her to be there in a pinch.

Shelby Sellers is a freshman, also playing her first season as a Lady Warrior. Shelby has been an outstanding player all season and has played the positions of shortstop and pitcher. She has shown she has the heart of a warrior on the field and has stolen many bases. Her teammates thrive on her humor and admire her strength of character. An injury during a tournament took her out of play for the rest of the season.

The coaches agree that these players are enormous in heart. As the season comes to a close, it will be exciting to see what these two talented players will do in the future for Fallbrook softball.
