FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Citizens’ Crime Prevention Committee will hold an open-to-the-public meeting on May 27 at 7 p.m. in the Zion Lutheran Church multipurpose center at 1405 East Fallbrook Street.

Lieutenant Alex Dominguez, commander of the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation, will speak on public safety; Undersheriff Bill Gore, second in command to Sheriff Bill Kolender, will give an operational overview of the San Diego Sheriff’s Department law enforcement operations; and Detective Sergeant Theresa Hydar will provide an update on the latest criminal trends.

The San Diego Association of Governments’ report “Twenty-Five Years of Crime in the San Diego Region: 1983 through 2007,” released April 8, shows that aggravated assaults were up 29 percent in Fallbrook in 2007.
