Summer concert offered June 21

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Chorale is currently working on the music for their upcoming summer concert, “You Made Me Love You,” on Saturday, June 21, at 2 p.m.

The program will feature contemporary arrangements of several American folk tunes, popular jazz standard “I Got Rhythm” by George and Ira Gershwin, a handful of well-known love songs, a medley of Jerome Kern’s show tunes and what is often called America’s favorite song, “Over the Rainbow.”

Concert-goers will also enjoy numbers by small mixed ensembles and soloists, featured instrumentalists and, once again, the Fallbrook Youth String Ensemble under the direction of professional cellist Barbara Martin.

The concert will be presented at the Bob Burton Performing Arts Center. Tickets will be available in advance from any Chorale member and at Major Market for $12 per adult, or $15 at the door. Children are free when accompanied by an adult; active military personnel and their families are also free of charge.

For more information, call (760) 731-0279 or visit http://www.fallbrookchorale.org.

New members are always welcome to join the group, which practices on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. at Community Baptist Church, 731 South Stage Coach Lane.
