Woman charged in death of Jason Peters

LAKE ELSINORE — On Tuesday, May 6, Jessica Cuevas, 30, of Menifee was arrested in the death of Jason Peters of Fallbrook as the result of a single-vehicle traffic collision on Lake Street and Cole Street during the early morning hours of May 5.

During the initial investigation it was determined that Cuevas, the driver of the involved vehicle, had exhibited symptoms of alcohol intoxication.

Cuevas was transferred to the secured facility at Riverside County Regional Medical Center. She is being charged with vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation progresses.
