Spaghetti dinner to raise money for fair expenses

RAINBOW — The Youth Fair Team of Rainbow Valley Grange is holding a spaghetti dinner on Saturday, May 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Grange Hall, 2160 Rainbow Valley Boulevard.

The dinner will include a salad bar, garlic bread, beverage and dessert. The cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under.

Members of the team who work at the dinner will split the proceeds to help pay their expenses at the San Diego County Fair next month. The team has 13 members going to the fair this year with their animals, eight juniors and five youth.

The Junior Grangers are Chris Dunckel (dairy and market goats), Kevin Fontana (dairy goats), Shavonne and Kiera Donoghue (pygmy goats), Sea Jay Bates (pygmy goats and dog agility), Aspen Komski (market goats), Alayna Pettigrew (equestrian) and Kelly Rich (equestrian).

The Grange Youth are State Youth Elite Missy Dunckel (dairy and market goats), Sarah Fontana (dairy goats), Jenna Lathrop (dairy and market goats), Maddie Varvel (steer and market goat) and Andrew Donoghue (pygmy goats).
