Learn how to do home repairs

OCEANSIDE — Homeowners do not have to break the bank to keep their homes in top shape. They can save money by doing a lot of the work themselves with a new course offered by MiraCosta College’s Community Services Program.

“Home Repairs, Upgrading and Improving Your Home” will cover many important home improvement skills, including safety techniques and the maintenance and use of tools. Students will learn basic home repairs such as fixing a running toilet, matching wood stains, installing can lighting and refurbishing cabinets. The remainder of class time will focus on the specific home repairs and upgrades of the students’ choice.
