I am a small avocado farmer in Fallbrook. After last year’s frost I treated my orchard very intensively without any pesticides, using very limited water and organic fertilizers. I believed I was also conforming with the Rainbow water company’s request to reduce my usage.
Now my allotment is based on those months’ drastically reduced usage. I volunteered and reduced 40 percent myself and now they are imposing an additional 40-percent reduction. How can the county remain rural if there are no more farms?
