Local gymnasts place second in team competition

On Sunday, April 27, Fallbrook Gymnastics hosted the GymFest at Knott’s Berry Farm. Thirty-six teams from California and Nevada participated in the day-long TeamGym Competition. The level B competition was the largest in the country’s history.

Fallbrook Gymnastics Fire Crackers finished second with 17.45 just 0.15 behind the defending National Champions from Go For It Gymnastics from Las Vegas. Fallbrook Heart Breakers finished eighth with a 16.30; they tied for first place on floor with the Fire Crackers and Go For It.

In the Level A Girls division, the Fallbrook Girls finished with a 16.45, which is a red ribbon. The Level A Boys earned a 15.60, which gave them a white ribbon. (Level A earns ribbons are based on score; there is no head-to-head competition.)
