CERT offers disaster preparedness classes

NC CERT (North County Community Emergency Response Team) will have the first class in disaster preparedness classes for community members on Tuesday, June 10, at Living Waters Church, 2000 Reche Road in Fallbrook, at 6 p.m. All classes are held on Tuesday evenings.

The eight classes offered in the complete program include learning how to proceed in personal preparedness for oneself, one’s family and one’s home; minor fire suppression; search and rescue; medical triage; working with emergency ham radio operators; and response to terrorist attacks.

Graduation is hands-on application of class material in a mock disaster situation drill.
