Openings available for Golf Classic

FALLBROOK — Space is still available for the annual Fallbrook Football Golf Classic, to be held at San Luis Rey Downs Golf and Country Club tomorrow, Friday, June 6, beginning at 11 a.m.

The four-player scramble event will be professionally hosted and emceed by the regionally recognized and popular Pin-Up Golf team. Golfers will include new Fallbrook High varsity head coach Joe Silvey, his coaching staff and special guest NFL alum quarterback Billy Joe Hoebert.

Player registration fees include cart, green fees, lunch, awards ceremony, heavy hors d’oeuvres reception and no-host bar. Activities will include hole-in-one giveaways, a $50,000 shootout and a raffle and silent auction.

Coveted auction and raffle prizes will include a San Diego Chargers Limited Edition Laser autographed football from the 2007 Western Conference Division Champions, a signed LaDainian Tomlinson jersey, a signed Hall of Fame Tony Gwynn bat and a signed Muhammed Ali photo, in addition to a team-autographed Seattle Seahawks football and jersey donated by Fallbrook High alum and current NFL kicker Ryan Plackemeier, signed John Elway memorabilia and much more.

Entry fee for the event is $150 per player; foursomes eligible for discount. Non-golfers can attend awards reception for $35. Reception is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.
