Margaret McClure Holder

Margaret McClure Holder, 73, died on April 23, 2008, in Oceanside.

Margaret was born January 24, 1935, in Maine and attended La Jolla High School, secretarial school and completed a CNA course. She was a former Miss La Jolla. She worked as a bartender and was acknowledged as the first woman bartender in North San Diego County.

Her hobbies and interests included art, being a CWI swim instructor, and collecting keepsakes. She was a resident of Oceanside for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her eldest son, Craig Benson, and her sisters Caroline Inglish and Barbara Jacobs.

She is survived by daughter Catherine Simmons, Fallbrook; son Sean Holder, Oceanside; and grandson Corey Hobbs, Fallbrook.

A private memorial service will be held in July.
