Maria Elena Apodaca

Maria Elena Apodaca, 73, passed away June 7, 2008, in Fallbrook. She was born on December 19, 1934, in Chihuahua, Mexico.

Mrs. Apodaca was a homemaker for 58 years. She enjoyed traveling, bowling, crocheting, gardening and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alejandro M. Apodaca, in 2005. She is survived by daughter Maria De Los Angeles Apodaca, Fallbrook; granddaughter Irma Betancourt, San Diego; grandsons and spouses David and Rachel Betancourt, Pomona, CA, Michelangelo Apodaca, San Francisco, and Daniel and Gabriela Betancourt, El Cajon, CA; and seven great-grandchildren.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 12, from 5 to 9 p.m. with vigil service and rosary at 6:30 p.m. at Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 13, at 1 p.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Fallbrook.
