To add to my May 29 letter on Camp Pendleton’s water, the mother of a wounded Marine living on this base informed me Camp Pendleton is still flushing its water mains quarterly to remove unacceptable sediment levels. At times her bathtub water is the color of tea and she finds it impossible to eliminate the brown coloring from washed clothes. Base sidewalks are also colored brown from irrigation water. This is the same water the Santa Margarita Conjunctive Use Project will assign to FPUD.
