Camera Club offers program on Peru

FALLBROOK — Join award-winning travel photographer Jim Cline on a journey through the fascinating and beautiful country of Peru at Fallbrook Camera Club’s June 30 meeting. Cline’s presentation features his travels to Peru to document the ancient cultures of the Inca inhabitants.

Travel high in the Andes to Cuzco, the Sacred Valley of the Inca and, of course, Machu Picchu. See ancient Inca ruins at sites such as Sachsayhuaman, Pisac and Ollantaytambo and colorful markets where the modern day descendents of the Incas still carry on many of their ancient traditions.

Visit small villages and Lake Titicaca and take a boat trip to see traditional villages on islands, including the famous Floating Islands. Finally, venture high into the Andes in search of the elusive Andean Condor, the largest flying land bird on earth.

Cline’s work has been displayed in galleries and the San Diego History Museum, and published in numerous books, magazines and brochures.

The program starts at 7:30 p.m. in the community room (second floor) of Silvergate Retirement Residence, 420 Elbrook Drive. For more information, call Judy Jobe at (760) 726-7223.
