Thank you, Maddy

It was a pleasure to read the article about Madelyn Goble [“Fallbrook’s Goble named Nurse of the Year,” 6/12/08]. You captured her “caring charm” that is missing in life so much today, whether it is in a hospital setting or everyday life.

We met the Gobles almost 20 years ago. Our families were both new to Fallbrook and we met by chance in a restaurant. Since that time our paths have crossed on numerous occasions because of children, church and work.

I always feel it is a good day when Maddy has been part of it. Our town is lucky to have good nurses such as Maddy. She represents a core of hardworking professionals who make hospital stays more tolerable and doctors’ jobs easier. Thank you, Maddy, for what you have done for our community, schools and your many friends in Fallbrook!
