Summer camps at Community Center

FALLBROOK — Adults and youth have the opportunity to take advantage of numerous offerings this summer at the Fallbrook Community Center.

Volleyball

Youth ages 8 to 12 can get a sound instruction to the game of volleyball from Coach Annette Nielsen. The basics of passing, hitting and serving will be learned in a fun, lively atmosphere. The first camp runs July 7-11 from 9 to 11 a.m .; the second camp is July 14-18.

Karate

Soo Bahk Do Karate will focus on personalized instruction for those age 4 and older. Class will be every Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:25 p.m.

Golf

Youths, adults and seniors can learn the game of golf at Circle K Golf Ranch in Rainbow through this program. Golf pro Barry Krumwiede will teach all the basics and provide tips and individual attention as students learn and practice grip, stance and swing.

Tennis

Kids ages 8 to 15 can enroll in Youth Tennis Camp, which will take place August 11-15 from 9 to 11 a.m. Instruction will focus on strokes, footwork, serving, rules, strategy and court courtesy.

Basketball

Youth ages 7 to 12 can participate in a basketball camp for beginning and intermediate players July 7-11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Kids will learn/improve passing, shooting and dribbling skills and use those skills in scrimmage games.

Multi-sport camp

Kids ages 4 to 6 enrolled in this camp, which runs 9 a.m. ton noon June 23-27, will have the opportunity to be introduced to soccer, flag football and basketball in a fun and non-competitive atmosphere.

Youth ages 7 to 12 can participate in a camp that runs July 28-August 1, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or a shorter camp offered August 11-15 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Science

Three exciting science camps will be offered for youth ages 5 to 14. “Super Substances” meets June 16-20; “Incredible Speed and Wild Creations” is set for June 23-27; and “Incredible Experiments” will meet July 7-11. All three camps run from 10 a.m. to noon.

Math

Kids ages 5 to 14 can attend “Locking in the Critical Basics of Math” at camps offered June 16-20 or June 23-27. Children will be individually tested and have their areas to work on pinpointed and worked on.
