FALLBROOK — Times are tough and money for summer vacations tight, but the Fallbrook Players has just the thing: laughter, the best medicine. Residents can save the gas and stay local this summer and tickle their funny bone here in Fallbrook.
Currently playing is “Audition for Murder,” an interactive murder mystery dinner theater that has had audience members “dying” of laughter. Playing at Dominick’s Deli, this live game of “Clue” has played to sell-out audiences month after month. Their next performance is Saturday, August 2.
The murder mystery dinner theater has been such a hit that the Fallbrook Players have started production on a second mystery, “A Wedding to Die For.” Everyone has been to weddings where things go wrong… well, in this hilarious farce things go really wrong! This show will play the third Thursday of each month starting July 17 at the Hukilau at Fallbrook Golf Club.
Also in the works is a hilarious show gearing up for the Mission Theater stage. “Noises Off” will play September 26-28 and October 3-5. With breakneck pace and a rich gallery of characters, Michael Frayn’s brilliantly witty farce follows the on- and off-stage antics of a touring company as they stumble from dress rehearsal to disastrous last night of the farcical comedy “Nothing On.”
Anyone who would like to be part of the hilarity is welcome to audition for “Noises Off” on Tuesday, July 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. All actors over the age of 18 are encouraged to audition.
