Learn to dance, play guitar

Fallbrook Community Center and James Ungricht are offering ballroom dance classes this summer for anyone 15 years and older. Participants will be introduced to the waltz and cha-cha in session one and the rumba and foxtrot in session two.

Moves from beginning to intermediate levels will be taught as well as learning how to lead and follow. Singles and couples are welcome to join the class on Tuesday evenings beginning June 24.

A recent addition to the center’s recreation program, “Beginning Guitar” with Gustavo Poletti, offers a popular course for anybody over age 7. Participants will learn basic strum technique, how to read simple music, how to tune a guitar and how to perform in a fun and exciting learning environment.

Students must bring their own guitars, whether owned or rented. “Beginning Guitar” is scheduled for every Tuesday, June 27-August 8, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

For more information, including cost, contact the Fallbrook Community Center at (760) 728-1671, visit the center at 341 Heald Lane or log on to http://www.sdparks.org.
