Car Club supports Sheriff's Senior Volunteers

The Fallbrook Vintage Car Club recently donated money to the Fallbrook Sheriff’s Substation Senior Volunteers.

There are approximately 50 volunteers in this group, making it one of the largest volunteer law enforcement groups in the area. Some of their many duties include providing traffic control for all major community events in the Fallbrook area, checking daily on about 100 shut-ins (those unable to leave their residences) and doing regular ride-bys to check on homes while residents are away on extended travel.

The volunteers have provided traffic control for the annual Fallbrook Vintage Car Show for the last several years and are a very valuable asset to the community.

The Fallbrook Vintage Car Club, which currently has about 75 members, is a very active member of the San Diego chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America. The club’s big annual event – the car show – was just conducted on Memorial Day weekend at Potter Junior High School. Proceeds from that show allow the club to make donations to many youth and nonprofit organizations within the community.
