Local filmmakers premiere 'My Necklace, Myself'

FALLBROOK — The Fallbrook Film Factory, in association with Bryan Caron of Divine Trinity Films, will be premiering their newest film, “My Necklace, Myself,” to audiences July 11 at the Temeku Theater in Temecula at 7 p.m.

Two additional showings will play at 7 and 8 p.m. on July 12.

At 41 minutes, the film, about a young girl who searches for her true self with the help of a magical necklace, is the largest film either company has produced. It required a team of two dozen crewmembers, three large locations and more than 100 extras.

The Fallbrook Film Factory is a not-for-profit consortium created to bring a serious filmmaking capability to creative people who would like to write, act, produce and direct films. The two-year-old company has produced several short films, documentaries and music videos, but their aspiration has been to make dramatic features.

Alongside Fallbrook residents Julia Witschger and Christiana Minga, the cast includes Derek Majewski, Norman Black, Deanna Lynn Walsh and Samantha Valencia in supporting roles.

“‘My Necklace, Myself’ has a strong message for kids and teens alike,” said director of photography and Film Factory founder Ronald Shattuck. “Families can come and enjoy the film together without having to worry about exposing their kids to violence, sex or language and at the same time have fun and have something to talk about afterward.”

Tickets will be available at the Temeku box office and online at http://www.temekucinemas.com. For more information, visit http://www.fallbrookfilmfactory.com.
