Scholarships awardees honored by the Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary on June 25 at Fallbrook Golf Club included (from left) Lori Kanewischer, Palomar College Nursing School; Rhontelle Amiling, whose mother is an OB/GYN nurse at the hospital, UCSD, biomedical engineering; Anthony Monteforte of Temecula, whose mother is a hospital therapist, UCSD, research physician; Brian Shughrou of Temecula, whose mother is director of the medical/surgical and intensive care units for the hospital, ECSD, ER physician; and Shannon Pereira, an aide at the hospital, Summit College, LVN. A total of $33,000 was awarded to 25 students.
