Schultz now leads Fallbrook Rotary

FALLBROOK — Following in the Rotary Club of Fallbrook tradition, the president’s gavel was passed from past president to past president, lined up in order of year of service, in the front of a room full of club members at a recent meeting.

The final gavel pass was from 2007-2008 president David Kauffman to incoming president Janice Schultz, who officially assumed her duties on July 1.

Schultz, superintendent of Fallbrook Unified Elementary School District, said, “I am looking forward to the year ahead, its challenges and the opportunity to continue and improve the impact of the service that this Rotary Club does for the community. We have maintained a meaningful presence in the past and will do so in the future. I am honored to be able to serve Rotary and the community in this capacity.”
