RE: 'They did it again' [Letter, Village News 6/26/08]

I assume Republicans, is another masterful work of nonsense from the elitist left. Amusing that someone would make the statement that only a Democrat has the knowledge and vision for this country’s health and wellbeing. Mr. Sarnataro may be correct if you consider the vision of the left is dragging this country down to its knees.

Firstly, Mr. Sarnataro, to produce hydrogen takes more energy than to use fossil fuels, and secondly, the emission from a hydrogen car is water vapor. Oops, water vapor is the main greenhouse gas.

Thirdly, Detroit has the knowledge and intent to build vehicles for the future, but at the moment they are and have been strapped by a) government regulation, b) unions, which is the reason why they have less money for research and development and c) a Democratic controlled house and senate that are not behind them and at every corner back up the unions to get yet more blood out of these companies.

Yes, Mr. Sarantaro, vote them all out but don’t forget the left-wing liberals who have put us into this mess in the first place.
