Other sustaining members welcomed to the meeting were: Mary Ann Atherton, Vivian Bulick, Sally Cook, Jean Sawyer and Anne Kroeze.

This all-volunteer board, with assistance from more than 300 volunteers, manages and staffs the Angel Shop at 1002 South Main Avenue. Net proceeds from shop sales generated $113,000 that the organization donated to local charities this year.

During the past year members responded to an appeal by donating $40,554 that made possible some needed improvements to their building.

Joan Hatfield and Betty Pierce announced plans for the “Christmas in July” sale to be held at the shop on July 24. The upstairs shop will be open to the public with holiday bargains galore available for purchase. The Angel Shop is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
