Fallbrook Rotary gives to causes

FALLBROOK — David Kauffman, president of the Rotary Club of Fallbrook, presented five checks totaling $5,000 to local community organizations at a recent club meeting.

Penny Fedorchak and Carol Zaleski of the Art Assist program accepted a check for $1,500 in support of art instruction in local elementary schools; Jackie Heyneman of Save Our Forest (Fallbrook Land Conservancy) received $1,000 for tree and plant maintenance in downtown Fallbrook and along South Mission Road; Bob Hillery of “HMLA267” was presented $500 in support of Camp Pendleton’s Marine Helicopter Light Attack Squadron 267 family picnic; Bev McDougal accepted a check on behalf of the Fallbrook Historical Society in the amount of $1,000 to assist with the internal finish work needed at the Donald J. Rivers Interpretive Center (The Barn); and Sgt Theresa Adams-Hydar and Tracy Weatherford of the Sheriff’s Department’s Fallbrook Substation accepted $1,000 to help purchase fire equipment for individual personnel protection.
