A new candy and party store, Swirlz, celebrated their grand opening recently with an official ribbon-cutting event organized by the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce. FALLBROOK — On Friday, July 25, during the Hot Summer Nites event, students of Willows End Nursery School will host an Alex’s Lemonade Stand from 5 to 7 p.m. at Swirlz Candy & Party Emporium at 213 North Main.
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation grew from a young cancer patient’s front yard lemonade stand to a nationwide fundraising movement. Since Alexandra “Alex” Scott (1996-2004) set up her first lemonade stand at the age of 4, more than $17 million has been raised toward fulfilling her dream of finding a cure for childhood cancer.
