FBK beats Oceanside in cribbage

At the Vista Elks Lodge on June 26 the 17 players on the Fallbrook Senior Center Cribbage team beat the Oceanside Senior Center Team for the fourth straight month.

Fallbrook won 64 games to 55 for the Oceanside team.

The top three places went to Fallbrook players with Ed Wozniak in first place with six wins out of seven games with two skunks.

Barb Sacic with six wins and one skunk edged out Mike Duffy with six wins and no skunks for second place. Fourth through seventh places all had five wins with one skunk.

The ranking is determined by the difference in the amount of pegs the player wins by. In order they were Nicki Newvine, Marge Schultz, Tom Waterbury and Cheryl Selvaggio.

The Wal-Mart store at College and Highway 76 donated a $25 gift card, won by Carol Maston of Fallbrook.

Matches are held on the fourth Thursday of each month at the Vista Elks Lodge at 1947 East Vista Way. The next match will be July 24.

All who enjoy cribbage are invited to participate. Residence in Fallbrook or Oceanside is not necessary.
