Georgina Wilmot

Georgina Wilmot passed away on Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at the age of 91 due to an unexpected abdominal aortal aneurysm. She was born on November 11, 1916, in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, England.

Georgina lived in the US for more than 40 years. She served as a nurse in London during WWII and went on to be part of the first generation of post war Teletype operators. She retired from Kaiser Aluminum in 1974.

Georgina was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Wilmot and is survived by son Frederick Thomas Wilmot and family, Ellie Taylor and daughters Tiffany Taylor and Selina Taylor. She was the proud great-grandmother of newly arrived Aiden James (nee 5/8/08). Her sister, Anne Robinson, Newcastle, England; in-laws Tess and Gerald Wilmot, Arroyo Grande, CA; sisters-in-law Ina Ritchie, Glasgow, Scotland, and Rita McDonald, Orinda, CA, also survive her.

Georgina loved the people of Fallbrook that she developed relationships with in her final years. She was an active member of the Excalibur chapter of the Daughters of the British Empire. She was a pleasant and wonderful lady and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
