Contest to reward 'Little Heroes'

SAN DIEGO — Kids who have done something special for their local neighborhood or school or who have otherwise made a positive impact on the lives of others are asked to submit their stories to the Nestle Drumstick Ice Cream Cone Little Heroes Contest. Ten winners will be selected from the San Diego area.

Each winner will receive four tickets to a San Diego Padres baseball game; a Nestle Drumstick Ice Cream Cone t-shirt, baseball cap and gift certificate; an invitation to a VIP reception where they will meet a player; and on-screen recognition during the game as a Little Hero.

Entry forms are available by emailing [email protected]. Kids or their friends can send their story (150 to 500 words), along with a completed entry form telling why they deserve to be a Little Hero.

Contestants must be residents of the United States and at least 5 years of age. Official contest rules are included on the entry form. Winners will be notified by phone and/or mail next month.
