Senior trips provide variety

FALLBROOK — Fallbrook seniors have some exciting travel options coming up that are guaranteed to provide outings of a good variety.

On Monday, August 25, the group will journey to Valley View Casino in Valley Center. This trip is only $20 including the driver’s tip, $15 Moreplay on Players Cards, movie, water and jokes on the bus.

Bus leaves the senior center at 8:30 a.m. and the casino at 2:30 p.m. for the return trip home. A free buffet will be given only to first-time signups and for August birthdays.

Everyone must have a current picture ID in case they win a large jackpot. Payment is due upon signup. No refunds after August 15 unless a replacement is arranged. Organizers need 47 interested people for this trip.

September 22-24 the seniors will journey to Buffalo Bill’s at Stateline. On Tuesday, September 23, they will make a six-hour side trip to Las Vegas. Total cost for this trip is $75 per person, double occupancy and $90 single. The bus will leave the senior center at 8 a.m. on Monday and the casino at 11 a.m. on Wednesday for the return trip home with rest stops at Barstow both ways.

The October 26 Palm Springs Follies is a show many seniors won’t want to miss. The Senior Center is now taking reservations for this trip at a cost of $82. This includes deluxe air-conditioned bus transportation and the show ticket, a snack, water and a movie.

Everyone is on their own for lunch. There will be time for gambling at the casino before the show. The bus will leave the center at 8:30 a.m. and return home by 7 p.m.
