Betty Jean Darling

Betty Jean Darling, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 21, 2008, at Fallbrook Hospital.

She was a native Californian, born in Los Angeles, and has lived in Fallbrook since 1988. Betty started her college education part-time at the age of 40 and 10 years later she graduated from the University of California at Northridge with a BA degree in early childhood development.

She was a past president of the Crescenta Valley PTA. Many of her friends will remember her as a Bible Study Fellowship Leader at the Fallbrook Presbyterian Church. Betty was an associate member of Christ The King Lutheran Church for the past eight years.

Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years, John; daughters Denise Winkler, Franktown, CO, and Cimbre Darling, Laguna Beach; son James Darling, Walker Lake, NV; brothers James Rose, Hamilton, MT, and Jack Rose, Wickenburg, AZ; and grandchildren Andrew and Russell Winkler, CO.

Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary will be handling the cremation and scattering of the ashes at sea.
