Candidates to share views on Liberty Quarry

Residents can hear the views of local candidates on the Liberty Quarry on Wednesday, August 6, at 6:30 p.m. at Rainbow Valley Grange, 2160 Rainbow Valley Blvd.

Grey Frandsen, candidate for State Assembly, District 66, and Bob Hamilton, candidate for US Congress, District 49, both oppose the quarry.

Assemblyman Kevin Jeffries and Congressman Darrell Issa have also been invited.

This meeting is not about political parties; it focuses on “quality of life” for Rainbow, Fallbrook, Temecula and Murrieta residents.

Dr. Matt Rahn, director of field stations for San Diego State University, will explain the detrimental effects of having a quarry next to the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve.

For more information, call Marilee Ragland at (760) 728-9503.
