Free class helps cancer patients

The American Cancer Society offers a series of free monthly “I Can Cope” classes for cancer patients and caregivers.

The next session will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, August 19, and will cover “Exploring Self-Esteem and Intimacy.” Participants can call in from the privacy of their home or office.

The class enhances knowledge and skills that empower patients and caregivers to cope more effectively with cancer challenges. Carolynn Peterson, RN, will be the professional facilitator. Patients will have an opportunity to ask questions.

Call the Society at (800) ACS-2345 by Tuesday, August 12, to pre-register.
