Berry-Bell & Hall provides comfort, efficiency

Steve and Scott McGargill, owners of Berry-Bell & Hall Fallbrook Mortuary, are honored and humbled to assist families with funeral arrangements. In many cases, losing a loved one causes numbing grief, and it is the job of the McGargill brothers to give comfort while recognizing and carrying out the specific wishes of the family.

“Our goal is to take care of everything and not give family members anything else to worry about,” said Scott. “We want to make the funeral arrangements as easy as possible.”

Knowing their community, Berry-Bell & Hall offers families professional and affordable arrangements. Be it a traditional funeral, cremation or other type of service, the McGargill family is there to help other families.

These brothers and their competent staff members understand the emotions involved in losing a loved one and take as much time as needed to guide a family through the arrangement process.

“We are here to serve families and to make sure that they are well taken care of,” explained Scott.

The brothers pride themselves in being the “neighborhood” funeral home. These siblings realize that the community has entrusted them with a critical responsibility and they go “above and beyond” to provide personalized and specialized service.

The human compassion at Berry-Bell & Hall is paramount. “The type of compassion we have, I think, really comes from being in this business for so long,” said Scott.

For those who see the value of planning ahead, Berry-Bell & Hall is also able to assist with prearranged funeral planning. “The advantage of prepaying for a funeral is that you are getting a guaranteed price for services and merchandise,” said Scott, “and that price won’t change with time.”

Another way to preplan, Scott said, is for a person to simply make a list of his or her preferences for arrangements and give it to Berry-Bell & Hall to keep on file for safekeeping. “Sometimes that’s really helpful for families,” said Scott. “We have different levels of preplanning, from being prepaid to just having basic information on file.”

Working within a budget can be accomplished with ease, said Scott. There is a wide array of arrangements families can choose from.

“And we are more than willing to help out people when we can,” said Scott. “Our main concern is to take care of families properly and to make sure they are happy with our service.”

In the past, the McGargill brothers have supported the community by giving to the Music Society and Fallbrook Hospice. “Being involved with the community is important to us,” he said.

Scott said the business has brought much satisfaction to them, knowing they have had the opportunity to really assist families in a thorough way. Just knowing that they have helped a bereaved family means everything in the world to these professionals.
