Rapaszky to teach ballet workshop

FALLBROOK — Rochelle Rapaszky will return to Fallbrook to teach special ballet workshop classes on August 19, 20 and 21.

Born in Fallbrook, Rapaszky began her dance training at age 7. The most prominent school in her pre-college experience was Ballet Society of North County, under the tutelage of Jacqueline Hepner-Thurston. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle in 2007.

Rapaszky enjoys the fine arts of choreography, teaching, performing and making dance accessible to the community. She holds awards from San Diego Dance Alliance and Cornish College of the Arts.

She has attended teacher-training workshops with prominent education foundations such as VSA Arts Institute and Creative Dance Center of Washington.

Rapaszky joined Pacific Northwest Ballet as Outreach Intern in 2006 and was hired as Outreach Training Artist and Marketing Assistant in 2007. Her most recent performance endeavor is association with Seattle’s Open Flame Dance Theater providing entertainment fusing modern dance and fire performance.
