Bernard Earl Eberlein

Bernard Earl Eberlein passed away at his home in Fallbrook at the age of 73 under the care of hospice on July 29, 2008.

He graduated from the US Naval Academy in 1960 and retired in 1985 as a commander. He was a communicant at the Base Chapel at Camp Pendleton and a golfing member of Pala Mesa Resort.

He is survived by sons Christopher, Texas, and Patrick, San Pedro; five grandchildren; and his canine companion, a bichon named Casey. Terry Martin of Fallbrook was his companion of 24 years.

No services were held, as he had requested that his ashes be scattered at sea, but two celebrations of his life are scheduled to be held at his home.
