Dwight F. Nixon

Dwight F. Nixon, 91, passed away on July 31, 2008, in Fallbrook. Born November 11, 1916, in Akron, OH, he was a resident of Fallbrook for 32 years.

Mr. Nixon graduated from Alhambra High School and served in the US Air Force. He was a boiler maker/inspector and his hobbies included painting, feeding God’s little creatures (birds, rabbits and squirrels) and gardening.

He is survived by nieces Janice Pastore, South Laguna, CA, Dorothy Nixon, and Wynne Batdorf; nephews Ronnie Steffey, Pasadena, CA, David Nixon, Fallbrook, and Jon Nixon, Fallbrook; and sister-in-law Ynema Nixon, Fallbrook.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, La Vina S. (Rolson) Nixon, in 2004; sisters Lucille M. Nixon and Lois Steffey; and brothers Jay Nixon and Ralph E. Nixon.

There will be a cremation and burial at sea. Per Mr. Nixon’s wishes, no services will be held.
