Historical Society thanks Horn

FALLBROOK — The Board of Directors of the Fallbrook Historical Society held a special thank you reception for County Supervisor Bill Horn at the Donald J. Rivers Interpretative Center (“The Barn”) on July 29.

The Society was recently awarded $35,000 in county funds that will be used to pay down the construction loan incurred in building The Barn.

Treasurer Judy Gillespie said the funds will reduce the loan by a significant one-third and reminded those in attendance that Supervisor Horn has been a loyal supporter of The Barn construction project from the beginning.

In addition, Tom Casey of the Fallbrook Chamber of Commerce and Old 395 State Highway Project presented the Supervisor with a Historic Route 395 road sign to recognize his help in securing historic status for the roadway.
