Village News, Inc. buys Anza newspaper

FALLBROOK — Julie Reeder, publisher of Village News, Inc., has announced that the Anza Valley Outlook was purchased from Carl Long and Dale Price on July 18.

Village News, Inc. publishes the weekly Fallbrook/Bonsall Village News and annual Greater Fallbrook Area Sourcebook, which serve the areas of Fallbrook, Bonsall, Pala, Rainbow and De Luz, and the Valley News, which serves the Inland Empire communities of Temecula, Murrieta, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and Menifee.

“I am very excited to include the Anza Valley Outlook in our newspaper group,” Reeder said. “We now add readers in the areas of Sage, Aguanga, Anza, Mountain Center and outlying areas to our newspapers.”

“All combined, we now reach more than 250,000 readers a month – print and Internet – who depend on us for their local news,” she added.

Reeder said the strength of these community newspapers lays in the company’s commitment to covering newsworthy events and features with award-winning results.

“We know it’s not just the big issues that matter to people, it is youth sports, school awards and honors bestowed on club members and new businesses in town,” Reeder said. “We understand the value of highlighting local people who are doing good things.”

Reeder said the Anza community newspaper will evolve as “we learn how to best incorporate our new readers and what is important to them while working to improve our coverage of existing areas.”
