RE: 'Were we at the same meeting?' [Letter, Village News, 7/24/08]

Maybe you should reread my letter of July 17, Patricia J. Walker! I said, “At this level I stage we are in now, no potable water will be supplied; only reclaimed water will be sold.”

We will probably be in a level I, or worse, for a long time.

If you had listened to the board members, you would have found this to, also, be part of the agreement with Orange Grove Energy. For someone who appears to be such an expert, I don’t understand why you didn’t mention this important part of the agreement.

“You” are not “confused,” just neglectful. You deliberately chose not to mention it, giving the impression that Orange Grove Energy would be receiving our potable water at this time!

As far as the reclaimed water is concerned, as I said, FPUD has agreed to sell it to them. They would, of course, have to install a filtration system to bring it up to the standard whereby it can be used for cooling.

I really don’t want to fight with anyone; however, I can’t stand by while people take things out of context, omit important points and spout half-truths to further their agenda, whatever that might be. I believe “you” need to “reread” the contract and “apologize” for continuing to put misleading information out to the public!

Readers, please call a FPUD board member to dispel confusion and gain more information.
