'Lemon-Aid' this Saturday

FALLBROOK — A “Lemon-Aid for Tanner” fundraiser will be held at multiple locations in North County Saturday, August 16, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. One location will be in front of the Albertsons store in Fallbrook.

Proceeds/donations will benefit Tanner Rico, grandson of Joe and Judy Rico of Fallbrook. Family members say 3-year-old Tanner is in “the fight of his life” with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a devastating, progressive muscle-wasting disorder.

Tanner is the son of Tony and Traci Rico. The money raised through the event will help with Tanner’s medical expenses. Organizers say it is their goal to “put a squeeze on muscular dystrophy one lemon at a time.”

Other fundraiser sites include Carlsbad, Cardiff and Encinitas. For more information, visit http://www.weelittlemanrico.com.
