Help would be greatly appreciated

The Fallbrook Food Pantry hands out basic supplemental food to an average of 450 families per week. The total number of people currently being helped is approximately 1,390 individuals. More than 50 percent of these are children. Half of the adults being assisted are seniors.

Fallbrook Food Pantry distributes a two-pound bag of rice and a two-pound bag of pinto beans to each family usually twice a month. These bags now cost $1.30 each.

We also include one quart of milk to each family at a cost of $1.20.

Fresh produce is purchased locally when we have sufficient funds. One week’s supply of produce is another $400. (We also distribute locally donated family fruit.)

As the cost of living continues to rise, the number of clients continues to expand. However, donations to Fallbrook Food Pantry have not kept pace with demand.

If you are interested in assisting qualifying families, please consider these new options: a $500 donation will feed all the families beans or rice or milk for one week. Therefore, a $1,500 donation will feed all the families beans, rice and milk for one week. (Please note that our clients also receive donations of canned food as collected by the community.)

Anyone in the community can send in or bring in financial or food donations, or if you like, you can request that the funds go for one of the above. Any help that you can give will be greatly appreciated.
