New football coach addresses Village Rotary

Joe Silvey, the new football coach at Fallbrook High School, addressed Fallbrook Village Rotary at their meeting last week.

Silvey graduated from Princeton, coached six years at Santa Margarita High School and came to Fallbrook from Carlsbad, where he was defensive coordinator.

Silvey emphasized that he is drilling into his team the concept that “the team is greater than yourself.” He is also emphasizing the team’s positive interaction with the community. One his first steps toward encouraging the spirit of team cohesiveness is getting the team new uniforms with “Fallbrook High” on the front of the jerseys.
