BONSALL — Bonsall Rotary recently heard from the new superintendent of the Bonsall Union School District, Dr. Justin Cunningham.
A man with a rich 33-year history as an educator, Cunningham served 13 years with the San Diego County Office of Education as the coordinator of Small Schools District Services.
Cunningham talked to Rotary about the changes in the educational model, including No Child Left Behind, the high California standards, accountability and the difficulties in meeting those changes.
Bonsall Elementary will show off its beautiful new facility with an open house on September 12. The new school was built from the ground up with the best planning and most economical operations available, as well as incorporating all the latest technologies.
Cunningham concluded his talk with one word: “kaizen.” It means “continuous improvement!”
