Gang injunction, crime prevention meeting

Fallbrook Citizens’ Crime Prevention Committee invites Fallbrook, Bonsall, Rainbow and De Luz community members to attend the crime prevention meeting August 26 at Zion Lutheran Church’s auditorium, 1405 East Fallbrook Street, from 7 to 9 p.m.

Our priority is to set short- and long-term goals for our communities: no allowance for gangs, drugs and crime. With a gang injunction determined as a long-term goal, here are the experts to explain:

• Shawnalyse Ochoa, Deputy District Attorney for San Diego County, will explain how to secure a civil gang injunction and what it can do for our community. We can help law enforcement obtain this gang injunction because residents, business owners and citizens play an important role.

• Julie Wartell, Crime Analyst Coordinator, SD County District Attorney’s Office, will demonstrate crime mapping as a tool to reduce crime in our neighborhood. Current and detailed crime data, available to the public sector, will be at your fingertips, considered a short-term goal.

• Hector Meza, San Diego County Office of Education, will educate us on gang awareness and latest preventive strategies, short- and long-term community goals.

Your attendance is critical to make this gang injunction happen!

Pat Braendel

President,

Fallbrook Citizens’ Crime Prevention Committee
