New disaster preparedness class offered

FALLBROOK — The latest earthquake “reminder” that shook Southern California brought to mind the need for being prepared for an earthquake – or any disaster, such as last October’s horrendous firestorm.
James Beebe, fire prevention specialist and instructor of North County CERT (Community Emergency Response Team), has announced the beginning of a new preparedness class series, free of charge, for community members.
The series of nine classes includes instruction on fire suppression, search and rescue, terrorism, (trauma) psychology and medical operations, with a drill at the end...
