New Alzheimer's caregiver support group to meet

VISTA — A caregiver support group meeting for Alzheimer’s family caregivers will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at Rancho Vista Retirement Community to assist family members and care partners who are facing the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.

These free meetings allow participants to gain new insights, share knowledge and experiences and express concerns and challenges in a safe, supportive environment.

This free support group is sponsored by Rancho Vista Retirement and the Alzheimer’s Association and is facilitated by a trained volunteer. It will provide emotional support, an encouraging environment to exchange coping skills and up-to-date information about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

The group will meet in the library at Rancho Vista Retirement Community, 760 East Bobier Drive, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. For more information, contact Rancho Vista at (760) 941-1480.
